Hydration
Water does the body good, but so does water for your curls. Drinking an ample amount of water helps to boost and support hair growth from root to tip. It also aids in the prevention of split ends and a dry hair texture. Drinking enough water will help in the maintenance of a healthier scalp, which will in turn prevent issues like itching, dandruff and dryness.
How much water to drink per day?
You can simply weigh your body weight and divide it by half. Let us say your weight is 200 pounds, half of that would be 100 pounds, 100 ozs of water would be equivalent to 12.5 cups of water per day.
Water for you curls
Oftentimes we over use hair care products, by feeling that the more we use, the better results. But that can be far from the fact, instead keep IOB’s fine mist spray bottle handy with warm water whenever hair is being done. Section hair into small parts, saturate, then apply your products, then watch the immediate difference with your results. You will start to use less products, your hair will not be weighed down, experience less product build up, and your hair will dry faster.
So besties, do remember to hydrate your body as well as your curls, the benefits are immense.
