The Big Chop & where to start

Let’s Define Big Chop

A big chop is when you decide to cut the straight ends off your hair and let your natural curls grow. This step will remove any damaged hair that may have been damaged from chemicals or coloring treatment.

A big chop is a major deal, and a decision because you will have to learn your hair, what works, and what does not. Our founder Bridgette Simpson will be executing this step within a few days. Follow IOB for updates on her regrowth process.

What steps to follow after your big chop?

You need a routine that you must follow through on. This will keep your curls moist and give strength and length.

First cleanse with IOB’s moisturizing conditioning shampoo, second condition to soften curls with IOB’s moisture rich conditioner, third deep condition with IOB’s intense repair deep conditioner to treat and revive your curls, fourth moisturize for hydrated curls with IOB’s quenched leave in conditioner, fifth define your curls by styling with IOB’s jucee detangling gel or lavish curl defining creme, sixth for growth and nourishment utilize IOB’s rampant hair regrowth serum or beast mode hair growth oil.

Along with your routine, add a hooded dryer or steamer for treatment that will add moisture, IOB’s fine mist spray bottle, IOB’s silk bonnet and pillowcase. Just for fun and encouragement, document your journey by taking pictures, measurements and notes
